Why Progress in Mind?

Psychiatric and neurological disorders are common in all regions of the world. They affect every community and every age group and account for 14% percent of the global burden of disease.1

Progress in Mind reflects Lundbeck’s dedication to helping address this major and growing global problem.2

Lundbeck is committed to the search for improved medical treatments. Through Progress in Mind, we also encourage greater and more effective communication about psychiatric and neurological disorders, the many unmet needs of patients, and the massive economic and societal burden – as well as personal suffering -- caused by these disorders.

Our foundation for progress

With our unique position as a pharmaceutical company specialised solely in psychiatry and neurology we aim to:

  • raise disease awareness
  • engage with and support the many stakeholders working towards the  greater  acceptance of patients with mental health and other CNS problems and the reduction of stigma,  and
  • enhance care and treatment.

All of this is undertaken in active collaboration with the international psychiatry and neurology community.
