How migraine can impact a person’s life on days they are not experiencing a migraine attack

At EAN 2022, Cristina Tassorelli, Professor of Neurology, University of Pavia, Italy, discussed how the impact of migraine is not just on days when migraine is being experienced but also on ‘interictal’ days when it is not. This interictal burden can include worry about when the next migraine attack will come, with the unpredictability of such impacting how much a person can plan social events. According to Professor Tassorelli, this means some patients never make any plans with friends or family as they are unsure if they will be able to fulfil them.
